According to a new report, Apple could soon increase the prices of the iPhone 17 series in India. The company recently raised prices for several products, including Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod devices, while the iPhone lineup remained unaffected. However, that may soon change, with the iPhone 17 series also expected to see a price hike.

iPhone 17 Series Could See a Price Increase

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, Apple has informed its iPlanet retail partners about a possible price revision for the iPhone 17 series in India.

As per the leak, the iPhone 17 (256GB) could become ₹12,000 more expensive, taking its price to ₹94,990. For reference, the device was launched in India in September 2025 at ₹82,900 for the 256GB variant, while the 512GB model was priced at ₹1,02,900.

The report also claims that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could receive similar price hikes, although their revised prices have not yet been revealed. At present, the two premium models start at ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,49,900, respectively.

There is currently no information on whether the iPhone Air will also be included in the expected price revision.

iPhone 17 Supply Reportedly Facing Shortages

The report further claims that the iPhone 17 series is currently facing supply constraints in India. According to the leak, Apple has informed its supply chain that fresh iPhone 17 inventory is expected to reach retail stores by next weekend, as availability remains limited across the country.

Japan Price Hike Fuels Speculation

The rumours of a potential price increase in India come shortly after Apple raised iPhone prices in Japan, where prices reportedly increased by up to 11.3%.

For example, the iPhone 17 price was increased from JPY 129,800 (around ₹76,900) to JPY 142,800 (around ₹84,600). Similar price revisions were also introduced for the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Last month, Apple also revised prices across its hardware lineup in India. Several Mac, MacBook, iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod models became more expensive, with price increases ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹1 lakh. The company reportedly attributed the hike to rising DRAM and NAND flash memory costs, driven by growing demand for AI-related components.
