Motorola has officially announced the India launch date for its upcoming Moto Pad 70 tablet. The device is set to debut on August 9 and will be available for purchase through Flipkart. Ahead of the launch, the company has also revealed several key specifications via its official microsite.
12.1-inch 2.5K Display With Moto Pen Included
The Moto Pad 70 will feature a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with 800 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) and 96% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The tablet will also support 5G connectivity.
Motorola will include the Moto Pen in the box. The stylus offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, along with tilt detection and palm rejection, making it ideal for note-taking, sketching, and other creative tasks.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400
The Moto Pad 70 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. It measures just 6.29mm in thickness and weighs 530 grams, giving it a slim and lightweight design.
Motorola has also confirmed support for the Moto Folio Keyboard, which connects via a magnetic snap-on design and pogo-pin interface, allowing users to turn the tablet into a productivity-focused device.
10,200mAh Battery, AI Features, and Android 16
The tablet packs a 10,200mAh battery with support for 68W TurboPower fast charging.
It will also include several AI-powered features, such as:

- AI Summary
- AI Continue Writing
- Google Gemini integration
The Moto Pad 70 will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola has promised Android OS updates up to Android 18 and security updates through 2030.
Quad Speakers With Dolby Atmos and Smart Connect
For an enhanced multimedia experience, the Moto Pad 70 will feature quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It will also come with Motorola’s Smart Connect feature, enabling seamless file sharing and connectivity across compatible devices.
Moto Pad 70 Groove Launching on July 31
Ahead of the Moto Pad 70, Motorola will launch the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India on July 31. The company has already confirmed that the tablet will feature a 12.1-inch 2.5K display and a 10,200mAh battery, with the remaining specifications expected to be revealed at the launch event.
