Motorola has officially launched the Motorola Edge 70 Max in the Indian market. The smartphone joins the Edge 70 series as its latest flagship model. It is available in three Pantone-inspired colour options and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is also found in premium smartphones such as the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R.

The smartphone runs on Android 16-based Hello UI and features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 7,000 nits of peak brightness. One of its biggest highlights is the 7,100mAh battery, which Motorola claims can deliver up to 58 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Motorola Edge 70 Max Price in India and Availability

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is priced at Rs. 54,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 59,999.

Motorola is also offering an instant discount of up to Rs. 5,000 on eligible credit card purchases from select banks.

The smartphone will go on sale in India starting July 20 via Flipkart and Motorola’s official online store. It will be available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt colour options.

Motorola Edge 70 Max Specifications and Features

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 16-based Hello UI. Motorola has promised three years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the device.

It features a 6.8-inch QHD+ (1,440 × 3,168 pixels) Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 7,000 nits peak brightness. The display also supports 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, over one billion colours, a 96.8% screen-to-body ratio, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It also includes Water Touch technology, which improves touch responsiveness even when the screen or fingers are wet.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 octa-core processor, featuring six efficiency cores clocked at 3.3GHz and two performance cores reaching up to 3.8GHz. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.

For better thermal performance, Motorola has equipped the phone with a 5,500 sq mm vapour chamber cooling system. The handset also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing protection against dust and water.

Camera Features

The Motorola Edge 70 Max sports a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-710 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera offering a 119-degree field of view, autofocus support, and a 2-in-1 light sensor.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features a 32-megapixel front camera, capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps.

Battery and Connectivity

The Motorola Edge 70 Max packs a massive 7,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, 25W wireless charging, and 5W wired reverse charging.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NavIC, BeiDou, and QZSS.

For security, the smartphone features an in-display fingerprint scanner, along with several onboard sensors including a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and e-compass.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max measures 164 × 77 × 8.29 mm and weighs approximately 221 grams.
