Several smartphone brands have increased the prices of their products in recent months, and Vivo now appears to have joined the list. While companies have not officially disclosed the reason behind these price revisions, industry reports suggest that rising memory chip costs, driven by growing demand from the data centre sector, could be a major factor.

According to tipster Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu), Vivo has reportedly revised the prices of multiple smartphones in India. The affected models include the Vivo V70, Vivo V70 Elite, Vivo Y21, and Vivo Y400. Depending on the model and storage configuration, the reported price hike ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹4,000.

The Vivo V70 Elite has reportedly received one of the most significant revisions. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is said to have increased from ₹54,999 to ₹58,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM + 256GB model is now reportedly priced at ₹63,999, up from ₹59,999.

The standard Vivo V70 has also become more expensive. The 8GB RAM + 256GB variant is now reportedly available for ₹53,999, compared to its earlier price of ₹49,999. Similarly, the 12GB RAM + 256GB version is said to have seen its price rise from ₹53,999 to ₹56,999.

Vivo’s Y-series smartphones have also been affected by the revision. According to the report, the Vivo Y21 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is now priced at ₹21,999, reflecting a ₹1,000 increase over its previous ₹20,999 price tag.

Meanwhile, the Vivo Y400 is believed to be among the most impacted models. Its 8GB RAM + 128GB variant has reportedly seen its price increase from ₹28,999 to ₹31,999. The 8GB RAM + 256GB version has also received a substantial hike, moving from ₹31,999 to ₹34,999.

Reports suggest that the updated prices have already been reflected on Vivo’s official website. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed these price revisions. More clarity is expected once Vivo issues a response regarding the reported increase.
